You are here: Home arrow Poker Room Reviews arrow Room Review Room Review Room Review is one of the newer poker sites online today that has a fresh new outlook on the way online poker should be played. Their flash based software has one of the cleanest layouts I have seen. The Web site is very clean and not packed with a ton of links that keep you from your goal of playing poker. has a good selection of tournaments going on at any time. They have their 8 daily $100 freerolls every 3 hours for the new people and a $500 and $3000 freeroll if you deposit and play in a set amount of raked hands. Currently offers Texas Hold’em and Omaha, but plans to offer other games like video poker, stud poker and others soon.

Software: 5 Cards for Software uses custom-built flash-based software. The software is very fluid, extremely easy to navigate and looks great with its photo-realistic images.

Installation of the software is extremely easy as you should expect. You have to have Flash 8 or higher installed and if not the software will install it for you. Then you just have to signup for a free account and you are all ready to play on real money or play money tables.

Features: 4.5 Cards for Features
One nice feature of the software is the use of tabbing. This allows you to play multiple games without having to switch from window to window, you just switch tabs. You can see what I mean by opening a screenshot above.

Another nice feature is the different statistics available. You can see all of the normal info on how you have been playing at the table, where you have won or folded; however, there is also a nice info section that shows your current position and how many players that are left in the tournament.

Tournaments: 4.5 Cards for Tournaments has a standard tournament schedule every day with some new tournaments added every now and then. Their freeroll schedule is very nice; they have a $100 freeroll every 3 hours. Make sure that you are there early because they fill up quickly. The non-freeroll tournaments are also every hour or two and usually start at $2 and up to enter.

Support: 4 Cards for Support uses an email-based approach to support. I have only contacted them once and they responded within a half an hour, which I believe is pretty good.

Room for Improvement: is a great site to play poker; however, every poker room has room for improvement. One thing I would like to see is 24-hour phone support because sometimes email just isn't fast enough when you can't remember your password :)

The last gripe I have, and this goes both for I like it and hate it, is their timer is very short when making your choice. I've been to sites that allow 60 seconds to make a choice, which is too long, but's timer is set for 10 seconds, which isn't always enough time. I think 15 to 20 seconds would be better for a little more thought before going all-in.
