HoldemPoker.com Room Review
HoldemPoker.com has been my poker room of choice for the last couple of months. They have great promotions, and their software is terrific. They are a part of the Ongame poker networks and have one of the largest player bases for online poker. If you are on playing on a Mac or Linux box or just don't want to download another room client, HoldemPoker.com offers a Java version that has all the benefits of their normal downloadable version. If you are looking for a good Texas Hold'em Tournament, look no further than HoldemPoker.com, there is always a game minutes from starting. They also offer a daily $500 freeroll that is very nice to get into if freerolls are what you look for.

Software: 5 Cards for HoldemPoker.com Software
I am a big fan of the HoldemPoker.com software. I have played at many of the Ongame sites and even though it is the same software for them all, HoldemPoker.com's room is the best looking. Their color scheme makes the buttons very easy to distinguish and extremely easy to read. Not to mention their cards are the cleanest looking of any of the Ongame sites.

Their downloadable version has all the features you would expect and their non-download Java version is amazing. The Java version is almost identical to the downloadable version; it even displays the winning %'s when someone is all-in against another. Both versions offer stunning graphics while neither are bandwidth intensive.

The only gripe I have with the software is the Check button. For some reason, HoldemPoker.com decided to put the check button in the middle of the screen which is fine, but it turns into a Call button if someone raises. If you happen to click the check button just as another person raises, you would click the call button instead. I have accidentally clicked that button so many times that now I am patient and wait until my full turn instead of using the quick buttons. It's a quick lesson to learn when you accidentally call an all-in with a 7 2 offsuit.

Features: 5 Cards for HoldemPoker.com Features
Their software offers many great features including the player notes and player classifications. You are even able to do these tasks with the Java version.

Another great feature of HoldemPoker.com is their constantly updating promotions. Every month they have a new promotion ranging from freerolls to the WSOP Main Event to entries to other large tournaments. Most of their promotional tournaments are free to enter following a real money deposit or reload to the poker room.

The last feature that I'm starting to see at a lot of poker rooms is the introduction of other non-poker games. HoldemPoker.com now has Blackjack that you can play from either the download or non-download client. I personally have not played the Blackjack there, but I do like that it is set up as a real Blackjack table where you play with people and a dealer unlike many online casinos where it is just you and the dealer. It just adds a little of the real casino feel.

Tournaments: 5 Cards for HoldemPoker.com Tournaments
One of the best aspects of HoldemPoker.com is their tournament availabilities. Being a part of the Ongame network, their player base and traffic is tremendous. You will always be able to find a tournament just getting ready to start. I highly recommend their sit-n-go (SNG) tournaments, especially the Short-Handed Turbo style with only 5 players.

HoldemPoker.com does have a daily freeroll tournament. The prize pool is $500 and the game starts at 6 PM Eastern every day and ranges from 800 to 1,200 players but allows for up to 2,000.

Security: 4.5 Cards for HoldemPoker.com Support
HoldemPoker.com uses the internationally accepted industry standard SSL for all sensitive information.

Support:
HoldemPoker.com has two support options available. They have email support and a online chat option available. Both are usually very quick with a response.

Room for Improvement:
By having the minimum tournament entry fee of $5, they are deterring many beginning poker players from competing in tournaments. Many sites offer tournaments starting from $1 and this would be a great addition to the Ongame networks.

Also, I wish they would change the Check/Call button on their software so they aren't the same button.
